Tuition receipts and proof of payment

How to access your receipts

You can view and print your tuition receipts or proof of payment through Dal Online. Your statement shows all tuition charges and payments for the selected term.

  1. Sign in to
  2. Select Web for Students

  3. Go to Student Records

  4. Select Student Account Balances – Tuition & Fees

  5. You’ll be directed to TouchNet/PayPath, where you can view your account activity

  6. Select View Activity for a detailed breakdown

  7. Choose your term, then select Print or PDF

T4A: Statement of income

A T4A is an official tax slip that shows funding you received, such as:

  • ScholarshipsÌý
  • Awards
  • Bursaries of $500 or more
  • Prizes
  • Tuition waivers

Important information

  • Your T4A is available in February following the tax year
  • You must provide your Social Insurance Number (SIN) to receive this form

How to view and print your T4A

  1. Go to Dal Online
  2. Select Web for Students
  3. Select Canadian Tax Forms
  4. Select Slips for Income Tax Return
  5. Choose the tax year for the tax slips you wish to view

T2202: Tuition, education, and textbook amounts certificate

The T2202 is used to claim tuition and education amounts on your income tax return.

What your T2202 includes

  • Eligible tuition fees paid
  • Number of months you were registered (full-time or part-time)

Before you access your T2202

You must provide your SIN in DalOnline:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Go to Personal Information
  3. Select View/Update Personal Information

How to view or print your T2202

  1. Sign in to
  2. Select Web for Students
  3. SelectÌýCanadian Tax Forms
  4. Select T2202 Tax Credit Form
  5. Choose your tax year

The printable version is your official tax receipt.

Important notes

Ìý

  • Your T2202 reflects the amount of tuition paid, not charged
  • You won’t receive a T2202 for unpaid fees
  • Updates can be requested if additional payments are made later
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you qualify to claim the tuition tax credit
  • Further information on the eligibility of education and textbook amounts can be found on the .

RL-8 (Quebec residents)

If you’re a Quebec resident, you can access your RL-8 tax slip through Dal Online. .

To receive an RL-8, you must provide your QSN (Quebec Permanent Code) to Student Accounts no later than December 1Ìýof your first year of registration, to ensure you have access to their RL-8 forms in self serve DalOnline.

Please note that RL-8 forms are not issued retroactively for prior years if a QSN was not provided by the applicable deadline.

  1. Sign in to
  2. Select Web for Students
  3. SelectÌýCanadian Tax Forms
  4. Select Relevé 8 Tax Form
  5. Choose your tax year

Tax information for international students

Tax requirements vary by country. You may need to use information from:

  • T2202
  • T4A
  • Account activity (by term)

Providing your Social Insurance Number (SIN)

How to provide your SIN

  1. Sign in to
  2. Go to Personal Information
  3. Select View/Update Biographical Information

Keep your SIN secure

  • Do not send your SIN by email
  • Only share it through secure systems like Dal Online

If you've already submitted your SIN

  • You’ll see a confirmation in the entry field in DalOnline if it is valid
  • You can update it if needed

If you choose not to provide your SIN

»ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ is legally required to request SINs for tax reporting purposes, and cannot issue tax forms without your SIN.
