Visiting Speaker Series: Jamie Heinrich, 2017 Nuffield Scholar

Please join us to hear from Jamie Heinrich as he shares stories from Australian farming adventures and learnings as a Nuffield Scholar studying how to attract and retain young people in the sheep industry.

Jamie is a 7^th generation South Australian sheep farmer. He completed a degree in International Business at the University of South Australia.

Since 2014, he has been a joint owner and manager of his 980-hectare family property, Ella Matta Pastoral, on Kangaroo Island, Australia. The Heinrichs operate the world’s oldest White Suffolk stud, a Poll Merino and Maternal Composite seedstock operation and a commercial 17-micron Poll Merino flock.

Jamie is the LambEx Taskforce Chair and is on several sheep industry organizations’ boards, including 8 years as a board member for Sheep Producers Australia.
