Katherine Rutherford has recently joined the »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ team in the role of community education officer. In this new position on campus Katherine will be leading the faculties efforts to raise the profile of the science of agriculture in high schools and communities in the region.
Katherine is no stranger to campus; she completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science as well as an MSc in Plant Molecular Genetics. Previous to her current role, Katherine worked on campus as a Research Assistant, Technician and sessional lecturer in the Department of Plant and Animal Sciences as well as working on research projects with »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥â€™s Department of Computer Science.
Originally from Old Barns, Katherine now lives in Antigonish on a dairy Farm. She is involved as a leader in the 4-H program. Katherine’s office is located in Haley in extended learning, please feel free to drop in for a visit!
