Join us on May 10th and May 12th as we introduce and discuss how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles can improve student success, retention, and satisfaction.

Many instructors around the Faculty are already using UDL principles in their courses and all of us pride ourselves on providing an excellent student experience on our close-knit campus.

Let’s talk about what makes UDL such an effective way of improving our courses and services to better meet student needs. In this retreat, we’ll discuss the reasons why UDL matters, show some concrete examples of UDL in action, identify ways to demonstrate our Faculty commitment to UDL, and work on incorporating UDL principles into upcoming course syllabi or student services.

Tuesday May 10, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Introduction & Principles of UDL) &
Thursday May 12, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Lab/implementation work time)

Refreshment break will be provided both days
