Since 2012, the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi鈥檏maq Chiefs and Kwilmu鈥檏w Maw-klusuaqn Negotiation Office (KMKNO) have been developing a Mi鈥檏maq Plamu Salmon Management Plan in cooperation with the Unama鈥檏i Institute of Natural Resoures (UINR) and Mi鈥檏maq Conversation Group (MCG). 聽 was created to balance the Right to Salmon harvesting for the Mi鈥檏maq of Nova Scotia while respecting conservation.
