The academic experience
Once you’ve chosen your stream, all students of the summer academy will participate in four academic experiences led by instructors, professors and current students in four of »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥â€™s faculties.
- An intensive, week-long introduction to computer science in action
- Hands-on activities across key areas like AI, Cybersecurity, Software Development, Human-Computer Interaction and more
- Sessions and panels with current students on studying Computer Science at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥
- Practical exposure to multiple computer science disciplines
- A clearer understanding of how computer science applies across industries
- Confidence exploring open-ended technical problems
- Insight into the skills computer scientists use to drive innovation and solve complex challenges
- Sessions on agriculture, food systems, environmental sustainability, animal science, and agricultural innovation
- Dialogue with »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ faculty, researchers, and industry professionals
- Exploration of current challenges and opportunities facing the agriculture and agri-food sectors
- Insight into how science, technology, and sustainability are shaping the future of farming
- Broad exposure to the diverse fields and career pathways within agriculture
- A deeper understanding of the connections between food, animals, the environment, and society
- Confidence exploring post-secondary opportunities in agriculture and sustainability
- A signature first-year course designed to introduce you to university learning
- Interactive workshops in areas such as creative writing, costume studies, political science, and languages
- A field experience exploring public history and historical materials at a local museum or archive
- An advising session to help you explore what your future arts and social sciences program could look like
- A glimpse into the wide range of disciplines within arts and social sciences
- Hands-on experience through workshops and activities across subject areas
- A clearer picture of what studying arts and social sciences at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ could look like for you
- Sessions on entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, accounting, and more
- Dialogue with industry leaders and »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ experts
- Real-world case-based problem solving
- Broad exposure to core business concepts
- Practical leadership, teamwork, and communication skills

Fee and what's included
You can participate in the summer academy as an on-residence participant by staying on campus or as an off-campus participant and travelling in to campus each day.
Ready to apply?
All participants in the summer academy earn a certificate of completion from »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥. Applicants must have a minimum English language proficiency of CEFR B1.
