Extended Learning and the Atlantic Institute for Digital Agriculture at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Faculty of Agriculture are excited to officially open for Future Farm: Precision Agriculture Training—an industry-led program designed to prepare Atlantic Canadians for careers in the fast-growing agricultural technology sector.
This program provides the foundational skills and hands-on experience needed to work with cutting-edge precision agriculture technologies such as imaging, mapping, tracking, robotics, and sensors. Learners will participate in a mix of online learning (live and self-paced) and a three day, in-person Field School that applies their theoretical takeaways with will real precision agriculture technology. The Field School will be held at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Agricultural Campus in Truro, NS.
Course registration closes August 31, 2026. The program will be capped at 20 learners.

- Online- September 14– November 6, 2026
- In-person Field School- November 12–14, 2026 (Dal AC campus, Truro, NS)
- Format:ÌýHybrid (online synchronous/asynchronous + in-person Field School)
- Duration: 8 weeks + 3 day Field School
- Location:ÌýOnline and on-site at »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ Agricultural Campus, Truro, NS
- Tuition:Ìý$1,250/person (Field School accommodations not included. Lunch and snack breaks will be included each day.)
- Bonus course: While Future Farm focuses on precision agriculture technologies and agri-tech skills, some participants may benefit from additional background knowledge of the agricultural industry. During checkout, you'll have the option to enroll in at no additional cost. This self-paced course introduces the fundamentals of agriculture in the region, helping learners build confidence and a shared understanding of key agricultural concepts.
- Funding: Eligible participants may qualify for tuition subsidies through provincial grant programs or through your provincial Departments of Agriculture. To inquire, please contact your local office.
