At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Apply principles to effectively have conversations about sexual health.
- Describe transmission, risk factors, prevention strategies and clinical presentation of chlamydia and gonorrhea.
- Determine the appropriate anatomical sites and materials to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
- Explain the steps in facilitating chlamydia and gonorrhea self-testing.
- Assess chlamydia and gonorrhea results, deliver a chlamydia and/or gonorrhea diagnosis, prescribe treatments, and manage follow-up testing.
- Execute comprehensive counselling following chlamydia and gonorrhea testing and treatment.
- Summarize the pharmacist鈥檚 role in reporting communicable diseases to Public Health and partner notification.
