June 27 was Canadian Multiculturalism Day. To mark the occasion, we spoke with a number of individuals across the university about the concept and why it's important — to both Canada and to »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥.

Thanks to Math Circles — a partnership between »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥, Eastlink, the Government of Nova Scotia and Halifax Regional School Board — elementary school students across the province are getting to explore math in interactive and entertaining new ways.

At Tuesday's Milestones Tea, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ celebrated its faculty and staff who've contributed 25 or 35 years of service to the university.

Over the past two weeks, »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ President Richard Florizone hosted year-in-review sessions on each of Dal's four campuses, offering an update on progress towards the university’s Strategic Direction and answering questions from the Dal community.

Members of the Dal community gathered at vigils in both Halifax and Truro Monday evening to remember those killed in this past weekend's tragic events in Orlando, Florida and to show support for one another, for LGBTQ communities around the world and for all impacted by the tragedy.
