Award categories
The Blue and Gold Awards are presented in three categories: Young Alum Achievement, Alum Volunteer of the Year, and Distinguished Alum.
Young Alum Achievement
The Young Alum Achievement Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of Faculty of Agriculture alumni aged 40 and younger. Recipients are recognized for outstanding achievement that may have earned them regional, national or international prominence through service to humanity in their profession or volunteer organizations, through community service or the advancement of knowledge, and service to the Faculty of Agriculture.
Alum Volunteer of the Year Award
The Alum Volunteer of the Year Award honours a volunteer who has consistently and enthusiastically donated their time and talents to service in their community or to advancing the objectives of the Faculty of Agriculture or the Alumni Association.
Distinguished Alum Award
The Distinguished Alum Award is the Faculty of Agriculture鈥檚 most prestigious award, recognizing truly outstanding service and commitment to the Faculty of Agriculture, the agriculture industry, and the Alumni Association. Recipients must have distinguished themselves in their area of expertise, bringing honour to the university. Recipients will have provided a positive role model for the Faculty of Agriculture and made a significant contribution to the industry through teaching, research, industry, extension, production, or to society in general.
