Indigenous Student Access Pathway

黄色直播 the program

ISAP participants will gain access to a pathway to admissions, allowing them to upgrade their academic standing to meet 黄色直播's degree program admissions requirements. The ISAP program is designed to support Indigenous students academically and culturally while enrolling them in up to six university credit-granting courses over the duration of the 1-year program.

Course load听

ISAP students will be registered in up to six courses (three credit and one non-credit) in both the Fall and Winter terms. Upon successful completion of ISAP, each student will have earned between 18 - 24 credits that will be transferable to other degree programs.

Supports and services听

The ISAP students will have access to the campus Manager of Indigenous Students and be provided a variety of support services and opportunities within the program.

Program dates

ISAP is a two-semester program beginning in September. Upon completion, successful ISAP students have the option to apply for enrollment in following term in their chosen program.

Student eligibility

In order to be considered for admission to the ISAP, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:听

  • Provide proof of Indigenous Ancestry听

  • Present valid high school diploma听

  • Must have a minimum of 65% in English 12 Academic.听

  • Submit a personal statement describing educational goals and commitment听

  • Have two references independently submitted

How to apply

To apply for the ISAP, you鈥檒l need to:

  • Complete a 听and save before emailing to waive the application fee

  • Have your high school transcript sent directly from the issuing school听

  • Provide evidence of your Indigenous connection by way of a "Status card" or a letter of support directly from the Indigenous community you identify with

  • Have two reference letters sent from different individuals using the ISAP Reference Form听[PDF - 178KB]
