Located in Truro, Nova Scotia on ��ɫֱ��’s Agricultural Campus, we offer a unique and practical background in engineering and applied sciences for undergraduate, graduate, and extended learning students. Our programs focus on practicality and hands-on opportunities to improve and enhance the world around us.

Our faculty teach courses in math, statistics, physics, engineering, and applied sciences while conducting ground-breaking research in areas including precision and digital agriculture, biofuels and bioresources, waste management, and intelligent engineering systems.

Teams of undergraduate Engineering students recently competed in The Gauntlet - a knockout-style tournament that offered a unique opportunity to showcase their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork under pressure.

A team of four Dal students that won an Atlantic engineering design competition earlier this year went on to represent the region in the prestigious Canadian Engineering competition last month where they earned a second-place finish.

Dr. Gordon Price, a professor in the Faculty of Agriculture’s Department of Engineering, and his Innovative Waste Management laboratory team were instrumental in the preparing and preserving a blue whale skeleton for display in the Beaty Centre for Marine Biodiversity.
